Need suggestions for Kit Clubs!

OK, I've been a member of three different kit clubs for the past 2-3 years.  I am getting tired of 2 of them and would like to change.  I won't name the ones I am with now but the prices continue to rise and the kits seem to all look the same anymore.  Even using the same lines 2-3 months apart.  So I have cancelled the two that I am not happy with and would LOVE to get suggestions from anyone who visits my blog on a good Kit Club.  I have been looking at Cocoa Daisy but haven't made any decisions yet until I see what else is out there.  If you wouldn't mind just taking a minute to let me know your thoughts on good kit clubs, and what you like about them, I'd really appreciate it!!

Now its off to the first baseball game of the season for my son!  Its so cold here today....I wish we had the weather we had LAST week....it was 90!!!  Today its 50 and dreary.  Game isn't until 7pm so you KNOW I'm gonna be cold sitting in the stands!  Ahh, what a mother does for her children!  :)

Oops, Had another one in me!

So after my last post I was blog-hopping and saw this sketch on Sketchy Thursdays. You had to use the provided sketch, use the color green and the theme had to be celebration. I wasn't going to do it tonight but I turned my head, looked at the pile of unsorted photos on my scrap table and this one was right on top! It matched EVERY requirement perfectly so how could I not do it. I even had the papers sitting out as I just got them (Crate Paper - Brook collection) in an order! Once again, you can't see it in the photo but the kraft cardstock is sprayed with gold Glimmer Mist. So another one done, bringing my total for the weekend to 9 pages done! Yay for me!

What a great Scrappy Weekend!

Well its almost over.....its late Sunday afternoon and after a morning of running errands and some shopping, I've only managed to get one layout done. This one is for a challenge over at Sketch Inspirations. You can't tell from the picture but the scallop circle really has neat shimmer to it. I used orange SMOOCH on the outside of each scallop and then gave it a mist with Harvest Orange and Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. The journal strips say "Susie digging in the sand at the "beach" INSIDE the Pier Mall. Atlantic City. May 2008"
I did manage to run into Michael's this morning while we were out running errands. I got a new Cricut cartridge (Walk in My Garden) which was on sale for $29.99 which I think is a pretty good deal. They had some bling on clearance for 49c so I picked up a few of those and I used a 50% off coupon to pick up a set of Martha Stewart edge punches. I saw on the counter at M's that the week of April 18 they will have a coupon on the web for 20% off your entire purchase, INCLUDING sale items. So keep an eye out for those emails!!!

Ahhhh, scrappy time!

I've been a scrappin' fool since last night! I think I've finally crashed though! Once dinner was done and I got a few loads of laundry going, I sorta pooped out and have just been surfing the web ever since!! I'm really happy with the layouts I got done today and last night though! All of them except the Precious Cargo layoutb are from sketches at Let's Scrap. If you haven't checked out that site, take a few minutes and head over there...I will wait for you!! :) I just LOVE the sketches there and the ladies in the forum are just the nicest group of gals you would ever want to meet. I'm really glad that I happened upon the site last month. Its's really kick-started my scrapping for me!

Here's my layouts for Friday and Saturday. The first one is for a challenge at Let's Scrap. We were to scrap our HOUSE and specifically the front door. Since we don't have our own house and this place is just temporary, I just decided to document my Scrap Space as that will be wherever I am....I can't ever see me NOT scrapping. The next one is for a challenge at ACOT. The challenge was to use corrugated cardboard on a layout and I just knew I had the perfect picture for it. It took me almost an hour to find this picture...I really need to get these photos organized someday! It brought back such happy memories working on this layout. Susie was soooo little. She's growing up so fast it scares me sometimes.

The next one was just based on a sketch at Let's Scrap. Not for a challenge or anything. I just liked the sketch and had the papers sitting out on my desk so I wanted to use them so I didn't have to clean up more than was necessary!! :)The next two are both from the same sketch for the weekly challenge at Let's Scrap. I like how one sketch can yield such different results.

Happy Wednesday!!

Sheesh its been like forever since I got anything scrappy done!!! In the past 2 weeks I have received TONS of new supplies from all the new CHA releases and have had no time to play with any of it. Yesterday after work I did organize things in my scraproom a little and plan to go home and scrap tonight! I have the weekly sketch over at Let's Scrap to get done....and I'm excited about it too....its a two pager that uses lots of smaller square pictures on the right side. PERFECT for all those Disney pictures (from TWO trips) that I haven't gotten scrapped yet. Next is the Design Team challege atso at Let's Scrap. If you have not visited Let's Scrap yet, and like sketches, you really should. They have some great sketches...at least in my opinion. I like the ever-popular PageMaps too but lately it seems like they all sorta look the same.
Next on the list (I'm being ambitious about thinking I can do this all tonight!) are a few challeges over at ACOT that I want to work on. I really like doing the challenges....even though I don't win, its fun to try and the end result is pages in my album!! Actually even if I don't get them all done tonight, at least I have a game plan and the weekend is right around the corner!

Un-scrappy Weekend :(

I don't think I will be able to scrap much, if at all this weekend. My mom is visiting for the Easter weekend and the only place for her to sleep is in my scrap room!! This is the time when I would normally be in there digging through paper and pictures and mom is already snoring! :) But I'm glad she's here....she's been through the ringer this past 4 months battling Lung cancer and fighting back harder than I ever imagined she could/would. So I may not be scrapping this weekend, but I have my mommy here and that's better than anything!!

Since I can't scrap, I have been visiting some sites I go to frequently and checking out the layout galleries. Over on ACOT I saw a layout that immediately drew my eye so I went to the blog of the lady who did it. She has a lot of neat layouts AND uses her Cricut and I am trying really hard to use mine a lot more so her layouts really interested me. So I became a follower of her blog and then saw that she has a "blog candy" going on and would like her followers to spread the word!

Soooo, if you like the new Basic Grey Green At Heart line, head on over to
Love Life's Little Pleasures and enter the contest!!

In case I don't post again, I wish everyone a Blessed Easter!

I'm on a Roll!

It really feels good to get a little bit of scrapping in on the weeknights!! The last few nights instead of sitting around watching TV after dinner, I worked on my scrapping. I got two done tonight and really want to keep going but its after 8pm here and I have work tomorrow so I need to wind down.

Here's tonights layouts....the first one is my crazy daughter!! You never know what this kid is going to do next!! In these pictures she -- for some reason known only to her -- decided to take a pair of my nylon knee highs and put them over her head! Then she even POSED for the picture. It was so funny!!
